Brax the Brachiosaurus Knitting Pattern PDF

£3.99

Brax the Brachiosaurus is suitable for an intermediate level knitter, and when complete produces a toy approx. 8 inches tall and 13 inches long, that can be filled/stuffed as firm or soft as you prefer.

This pattern is suitable for experienced intermediate knitting ability, assuming an understanding of basic stitches and common knitting terms. This pattern will require the following skills;
knit, purl, cast off in middle of row, knit front and back increase, knit two together decrease and purl two together decrease. There is also an optional alternative pattern to create a striped body using intarsia colour work.

It has been completed using the following recommended yarns:
- King Cole Pricewise DK in 27 Sea Green (Single colour design)
- King Cole Pricewise DK in 128 Fondant (Intarsia design)
- King Cole Pricewise DK in 40 Candy (Intarsia design)

SCRAPS
- King Cole Pricewise DK in 48 Black (Eyes, Mouth, Nose)

This yarn is sold in skeins of 100g (approx. 282m/310y), which is more than enough to complete this pattern. If using an alternative brand of yarn, I recommend that you use a DK weight and a similar amount of yarn.

You will also require Toy stuffing (approx. 100g)

All pieces are knitting flat on straight needles and have been seamed using a mattress stitch. The cast on method that has been used for this pattern is the long tail cast on.

To complete the pattern you will also require:
- A pair of 3mm straight knitting needles
- A tapestry needle
- Scissors
